Several municipalities border the waters of the lake, starting with Annecy obviously, but also Veyrier-du-Lac, Sevrier, Menthon-Saint-Bernard, Saint-Jorioz, Talloires-Montmin, Duingt, Entrevernes or Doussard. From snow-covered mountains to heavenly beaches, Lake Annecy holidays makes you dream with its thousand faces: whether you're on foot, by bike, on a motorbike, in a "Water Taxi" or aboard a mythical 2CV ("2 horses") here are some ideas to not lose a crumb.
Haute Savoie
On the west bank, it is certainly here that the panoramas are the most magnificent at sunrise. Sévrier, between the Massif des Bauges and the lake, will dazzle you with its point of view on the lake from its small beach. Be careful if you want to go there, it will take you early in the day since the latter, very popular, attracts a lot of people when summer comes. The pier of Saint-Jorioz and its postcard decor allow you to admire one of the most beautiful views of the lake on the Tournette and the Teeth of Lafon. If you like hiking, we can only recommend you to go to the panorama of the Loop of Laudon: breathtaking! The medieval village of Duingt facing the Roc de Chère marks the separation between the "small" and the "big" Lake Annecy: near the bay of Talloires and Ruphy Castle, again, we guarantee that you will only be able to adore the landscape. Do not hesitate to climb the heights of the city for a splendid overview on the peninsula of Duingt and its castle, made famous thanks to the brushstrokes of Paul Cézanne, who immortalized in 1896. Those and those who love the climb will be able to contemplate the lake from Taillefer Mountain: a delight for the eyes!
